Floatchat- User Guid


1. Introduction #

Chatbots are commonly used to engage with potential prospects and integrate with customer CRMs to update collected user information. Floatchat offers seamless integration with the popular cloud CRM solution, Salesforce. This integration enables the recording of leads, service tickets, and inquiry functions. Please note that direct integration with Salesforce is supported only for the following editions: Enterprise Edition, Unlimited Edition, Developer Edition, and Performance Edition. Direct integration is currently not supported for Group Edition, Essentials Edition, and Professional Edition.

1.1 Access to Salesforce Integration #

To set up Salesforce integration in Floatchat, navigate to Integrations > Cloud Integrations workflow. This feature is available for customers on the Business plan or higher. Once the integration with the Salesforce account is completed, you can access it in Builder > Paths. Click on “Add Node” and select Salesforce under Integration Nodes.

2. Steps to Configure Salesforce Integration #

2.1 Adding the Salesforce Account #

1.Log into your Floatchat account and go to the “Integrations” tab.

2. Click on the “Connect” button and provide a name for your account. Then click on “Authorize”.Login to your Salesforce account and grant the necessary permissions on the authorization page. Once completed, you will be redirected to the Floatchat portal, and the integration will be reflected on the platform.

2.2 Configuring Salesforce Node #

1. After authorizing your account, go to Builder > Paths of your choice. Click on the “Add Node” button and select Salesforce from the integration nodes.

2. You can either authorize a new account or use a previously authorized account.

2.3 Selecting an Action #

1. Once you select your account, you can choose an action from the available list:

a. Add Account

b. Add Lead

c. Add Opportunity

d. Add Case

e. Get Case

f. Update Case

2. Selecting an action will populate the required rows for completing the action and assign different attributes accordingly based on the information required.

3. Once you have assigned the attributes, save the node, and your integration is ready.
