Nodes

Nodes are essential components of the conversation flow designed for the intended user journey in a chatbot. In Floatchat, there are various types of nodes available, including:

  1. Display Information Nodes: Floatchat offers several options to present information to the end user through the chatbot. These options range from simple messages and images to carousel cards and more.
  2. Data Input Nodes: Collecting user information is a crucial function of most chatbots. Floatchat simplifies this process by providing various nodes to collect data, such as Request User Data, Identity Node, and more.
  3. Processing Nodes: Floatchat also offers different ways to handle and process information within the chatbot, enabling branching decisions in the conversation flow.
  4. Integration Nodes: Floatchat provides numerous integration-focused nodes, including JSON API Integration and standard nodes for seamless integration with Salesforce, Google Sheets, and Calendar.

To add a node in Floatchat, you can click on the “Add node” option located at the top of the builder flow.

Editing a node allows you to modify its content and behavior to suit your requirements.

Building connections between nodes enables the smooth transition of the conversation flow. You can establish connections by linking nodes in a logical sequence.

If you wish to remove a node from the flow, you can simply delete it.

To redirect the flow to a different path in Floatchat, you can use the “Trigger Path” node. By selecting the desired path, you can seamlessly direct the conversation flow to another section.

It’s important to note that each node in Floatchat has certain limitations depending on the channel it will be used on. You can check the supported channels by hovering over the “Supported on 13 channels” option.
