Media Nodes

1. Introduction #

Floatchat provides the functionality to share various types of media files, including images, audio files, videos, and documents, based on specific trigger points in the conversation flow

2. Media Nodes #

1. Image Node: #

To send an image to a chatbot during a conversation, you can utilize the Send Image Node feature in Floatchat. The maximum file size allowed is 1MB, and supported formats include jpeg, jpg, png, and gif. Simply select the Send Image Node, configure the image URL or choose an image from your computer, and save the node.

2. Audio Node:

Floatchat allows you to share mp3 and m4 audio files with the chatbot. You can either enter the URL of the audio file or upload it from your local device. The maximum file size permitted is 10MB, and the supported format is mp3. Select the Send Audio Node, configure the audio URL or select an audio file from your computer, and save the node.

3. Video Node:

When setting up your logic paths in Floatchat, you can integrate video files into the chatbot. You can either enter the URL of the video or upload it from your local device. The maximum file size allowed is 25MB, and the supported format is mp4. Select the Send Video Node, configure the video URL or select a video file from your computer, and save the node. If desired, you can also add subtitles or video captions using the URL of the track or by using the required attribute. Please note that the subtitle file should be in “.vtt” format and is available for website channels only. For WhatsApp, the file size limit is 16MB.

4. Document Node:

Floatchat enables you to upload and share documents with users. Users can click on the arrow button to view and download the PDF document. The maximum file size allowed is 25MB, and supported formats include pdf, doc(x), ppt(x), xls(x), zip, rar, csv, and txt.
